Project TL / The Lineage
The MMORPG are PC games that never go out of fashion, but we always need to renew. Project TL is the new game from NCSoft, which apparently is part of the Lineage franchise. Despite being a game of the franchise, it has received many graphic and physical optimizations, due to the engine used to create the game, Unreal Engine 4.
From the same company that brought us The Vanishing of Ethan Carter , Witchfire seems to be a big surprise, as the new teaser features an FPS game with elements of horror, unlike the narrative genre featured in The Astronauts’ other release .
For lovers of turn-based strategy PC games, in the best XCOM style, we have a gift coming directly from the original XCOM creator, Julian Gollop, we’re talking about Phoenix Point. A game that features the features of the XCOM series and an open world, it seems to be a very interesting combination with the Fallout series!
Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia
For the year 2018, we will have not only one but two novelties for lovers of the Total War franchise. The first is Thrones of Britannia. With a new campaign mode and a MUCH bigger map than Total War: ATTILA (23 times larger, to be exact), it features a very detailed replica of the British Isles and a number of very large new factions.
Total War: Three Kingdoms
The second novelty for Total War franchise fans is Three Kingdoms. Set in ancient Chinese lands, the game involves conspiracies within the empire and a brotherhood that swore to fight the tyranny imposed in these new times.
A new MMORPG coming from Korean lands, Peria Chronicles presents a fantasy world with elements reminiscent of the Pokémon franchise. All your skills are determined by the monsters you defeat, removing the traditional class system from PC games of that style.
Some lan house classics came back with more current touches. Quake Champions fits these classics. One of the most entertaining and frantic competitive FPS of its time has returned to the new generations, but with new features. Champions. Warriors with unique abilities and styles will compose their team in search of victory.
Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem
An open world RPG with combat mechanics based on armed and dynamic combos. Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem sits in a collapsing world and you control an officer of the republic who runs away from his death penalty for using powers you did not know he had. The game will feature a CO-OP system that will introduce a system of reactions with spells into teams.
GTFO is a Co-op game of up to four players for those seeking action and horror games. You and your team must explore an abandoned, gigantic place full of monsters. Extract artifacts, use the weapons around you to try to stay alive to the end. Your team’s motto will either live together or die together, there is no other option here.
Taking advantage of the last item, we brought Hunt: Showdown. It basically is a PvP survival game with lots of PvE elements, which means the danger is doubled. In addition to a bloodline evolution system, there is a ranks system, which makes the game much more competitive.
KurtzPel: Bringer of Chaos
Bringing animations and graphics in Anime style, KurtzPel: Bringer of Chaos is an MMO with mechanics focused on the PvP style of combat and action. With a very large and well-detailed character customization level, it seems to be a great choice for gamers who like the oriental style of game creation.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire
The follow-up to the award-winning series, Pillars of Eternity, is scheduled for release this year. For all Diablo style RPG lovers, this game is a great choice. Pillars of Eternity II also includes a naval exploration system, adding more customization elements to the game.
The Bard’s Tale IV
Following the line of Dungeon Crawler RPGs, we have The Bard’s Tale franchise, which presented its fourth title for 2018.
